Allopathic versus osteopathic?

what is the difference between them and can a person that is a D.O become a psychiatrist. What are the step in become a osteopathic doctor. Another great question can a physician assistant become a psychiatrist. thanks

  1. Allopathic & Osteopathic have two different approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of disease (at least in theory).  In osteopathic theory, virtually all disease stems in some part from spinal misalignment.  In allopathic medicine, no such notion exists.

    A Physician Assistant cannot apply for a medical residency and cannot become a psychiatrist without completing medical school.
