And how about "The end justifies the means"? Both quotations merely serve to excuse the attitude of riding roughshod over other people's feelings and beliefs for the supposed benefits of the general population. We are currently killing hundreds, if not thousands of Afghanis whose only desire is to live peacefully and grow poppies, Iraqis who need to groom their camels and goats without interference.

It is about time  that people realised that any form of government is inherently bad for us and should come with a health warning.
