Alltel LG-how do I permanently set it to t9word?

Is there a way so that when I text, I don't need to set it to t9 word every time I use it? Same thing with font and backround colors, if there is a way to leave it like that.

Your phone may be a little different, but I go to Messaging. Settings. Entry Mode. And it has Word there for me to pick. It may be different on your phone depending on what phone you have.
