Alltel switching to Verizon...help!?

Question

My parents said I could get a phone before christmas this year and I know verizon is taking over alltel and here is my question

If I get an alltel phone, what will happen when they actually switch everyone over?

Should I get one or should I wait until the switch over?

PLEASE HELP ME!

I would say it depends on if you want a model that Alltel sells or Verizon sells. Nothing will realy happen when they switch everyone, it's just Alltel  customers will have Verizon service. I have Verizon and it's great I have service EVERYWHERE, the have resonable plans, for texting calling, everything and I am a textacholic, I have unlimited texting. If I was you I would first find out what actual model of phone you want! But nothing can happen becasue all the people out there who have an Alltel phone they can't make them got get a verizon phone. And verizon carries Samsung phones.
