Almeria squeaks past Hercules to move out of last place: La liga match update
UD Almeria beat Hercules CF 2-1 in a La Liga encounter at the Jose http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rico-c31132 Perez on Sunday evening. Second half goals lift the visitors from the bottom place but they still remain in the drop zone.

The hosts applied the early pressure and could have scored in the sixth minute when Abraham Paz took a shot from a distance but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oliver-c28477 Thomart missed the bar by a few centimetres.
The visitors had to wait for more than half hour to witness their first chance of the game. Fabian Vargas cut inside from the right midfield and after skipping past two defenders, his shot was brilliantly parried away by Juan Calatayud.
Both teams created equal opportunities of scoring but it ended stalemate at the half time.
The second half witnessed a wonderful start, as the hosts opened the scoring in the 50th minute. Farinos sent a perfectly placed cross from a free kick which was headed into the back of the net by Abraham Paz, to make it 1-0 for Hercules.
A couple of minutes later, the hosts could have doubled their tally but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Albert-Crusat-c4292 made a blistering run in the box from the left before crossing it for Sofiane Feghouli, who headed it from deep inside the penalty box to make it 1-1.
Moments later, Almeria scored another to go into the lead. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Henok-Goitom-c16037 played a lovely ball to Modeste M’Bami who struck a fierce shot into the middle of the goal to make it 2-1 for the visitors. Hercules came close to equalising with several opportunities but Almeria managed to hold onto a slender lead to win 2-1.
Almeria will host Atletico Madrid in their next fixture on 12th March, while Hercules face a stern test against Real Madrid the same day.
