Almora in Utaranchal?

Hi, Pls tell me how to reach Almora....I know trains from Delhi go upto Kathgodam....How to go after that..?If I want to go on bus from Delhi.....from where I can get bus..and how much will it cost?

Best to go till Kathgodam by train and take either a chartered taxi/cab or travel on one of the buses from thereon.

Bus travel from Delhi till Almora will be too tiring and waste of time.

I think the easiest would be to take a luxury coach from Delhi. You can find about the coaches from ISBT or from the tour operators close to old delhi railway station.

If you take a train to Kathgodam, then you can get a cab to Almora from there.

    From Kathgodam or Haldawani you can take taxi to Almora  RS 100-120  per seat.From Delhi (Anand vihar) you can take uttaranchal gov  buses to Haldawani or kathgodam or from kashmire gate there are many privet bus operaters to Haldawani- Almora. RS 225 -275 per seat.

Take train till kathgodam and then hire taxi or can take bus from Kathgodam to Almora .
