I will be 39 weeks on wednesday and my body is sooooo achy that i dont know how much longer i can stand to be pregnant. my tailbone/bottom area is soooo sore! theres constant pressure down there and it feels like my baby is pushing his head against my cervix. I was 1 centimeter dilated on thursday so im really hoping that by my next appointment this thursday ill be even more dilated. Has anyone had anything that put them into labor? I know it will only work if my body is ready but im pretty sure it is......im willing to try it if it even might help. The only thing i dont want to take is castor oil. What about walking? has that helped anyone? im just sooo sore and in so much pain that im willing to try anything

  1. walking, s*x (actually it's the o****m that helps), nipple stimulation and I've heard that eggplant helps.

  2. Thank you for your kind answer to my BC question. I've HEARD that exercise and s*x help with labor. Might as well give it a shot. Good Luck, and thanks again!

  3. Try doing some wall squats.  Lean against a wall in your house and squat down as far as you can go.  This moves the baby down more, which will obviously put more pressure on your cervix.  You can even do some gentle bouncing in this position.  s*x might help, too.  s***n has been known to soften the cervix and orgasms can cause contractions.  You can also try nipple stimulation and eating something spicy (make sure to take your Zantac with you, though).

  4. what to expect when your expecting said to walk a lot... and to stimulate your nipples for a total of 3 hours a day... (not all at once) just keep them stimulated... it produces some hormone... i forgot what its called, i was just reading about it last night... yeah, defiantly don't do castor oil... it probably wont work and you will be in a lot of discomfort on the toilet..

ugg I'm jealous, i wish i was 39 weeks already!!!

  5. If you don't walk on a regular basis that might help.  I went shopping for 8 hours the day before I delivered my first.  I got up that morning after and my water broke.

I have heard that s*x can also help the process, something about the contractions of orgasms and the s***n.

  6. mummy and daddy cuddles and curry ! good luck!

  7. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I feel your pain. With my first, at my 39 week appointment, I was 3 cm dialated and the doctor did what they call "stripped my membranes." It can be painful when they do that but in my opinion, if it gets labor going, then I say do it.  The next morning I had my son. Ask your doctor about that at your next appointment. Most doctors will do it if your cervix if 'favorable' which your sound like it is.  Good luck.
