pregnancy test done at a planned parenthood. I didn't think anything of this at the time but looking back, I'm surpised by what the doctor asked me. She said, "do you want this child?". Is that typical dialogue of planned parenthood? My regular obgyn that did my second test (for my second child) never even asked me, she just assumed I was keeping him. Why would they ask?

  1. I am told that is a regular question.  I have not been pregnant but had to do a research project and talked with planned parenthood.  They assume until told otherwise that the girl will either abort the child or put it up for adoption.

  2. It is a typical question. Most people who go there go because of unexpected pregnancy.

I was also 19 when I had my first and had my first official test at a planned parenthood, but I don't remember being asked that.
