Almost Volcanic likely to bounce back in Seen and Heard A2 525 Semi-final at Shelbourne Park
With none of his rivals producing good results consistently, Almost Volcanic has got an ideal opportunity to bounce back and steal the show in the Seen and Heard A2 525 Semi-final, taking place at Shelbourne Park on Thursday, June 14, 2012.
The black dog might have lost plenty of fans after a terrible show last time. After grabbing the runner-up place in the SIS A2 Dual Distance 525/550 Semi-final, the talented hound could not continue his good work and finished fifth in the final encounter.
A shameful defeat would have dented his confidence to some extent, but still Davies’ dangerous trainee is hard to overlook. In his last success over 525 yards, College Causeway’s son stopped the clock in just 29.11 seconds. Although it was an A3 win, an
equally good show will be enough to earn him success tonight.
The punters are all set to invest their money in the 525 yards meeting, which will be kicked off at 21:55 (GMT). It holds a handy cash prize worth €75, which will be given to the ultimate champion.
Among Almost Volcanic’s rivals are: Kinlock Style, Mayo Dazzler, Ashfield Impact, Rushwee Record and Knockagh Mal.
Rushwee Record has been unlucky over the past few weeks. In his previous trip, the black dog finished fourth on the chart. Similar is the case with Knockagh Mal, who was terrible last time around. After doing a decent job at Dundalk, the black dog returned
to Shelbourne Park with a lot of expectations, but failed to do anything special.
Kinlock Style is a dangerous runner, but needs plenty of luck to shine tonight. After missing the gold medal by a few lengths, the brindle dog remained unsuccessful in improving his work, ending up third last time. Ashfield Impact and Mayo Dazzler also need
a slice of luck to do some special tonight.
The stats are in favour of Almost Volcanic. Although Kinlock Style and Mayo Dazzler will make things a lot tricky for him, but the Davies-trained is in superb position to notch up the top place. We wish the best of luck to all runners.
