Question:

Aloe plant?

hi i work at this green house nurcery and they have this aloe it is very dried out and all the plants are faling off so itook one home and it doesnt have many roots and the plant has redish color to it how can i get more roots will it be ok with just being put in soil and grown?

  1. Sounds to me like your aloe plant has gotten a bit of sunburn.  It needs sun, but may have gotten too much.  They don't usually have much of a root system.  Sandy soil would probably be good...and you don't have to water them much at all.  I have a huge plant, and I haven't watered it in months.  It stays green, and is in my kitchen.....lots of light, but not direct sunlight.


  2. aloe plants are normally found in the desert. so inderect sunlight, water every 3-4 weeks good as new!

  3. aloe plants are very difficult to kill and very easy to grow. They multiply like crazy. When they turn red and get dry, it means they need water. Stick your plant in dirt and water it occasionally. It will probably grow unless it was already dead before you got it. It may be too big for the pot it's in and that is why it is drying out.
