Alongside the release of the iPhone 3G, might there be an upgrade to the iPod Touch line?

Hello all,

Thinking about getting an iPod Touch. Does anyone know if there'll be an update to the iPod Touch line of iPods with the release of the iPhone 3G?

Any rumored iPod Touch updates supposedly coming soon?

No rumors at all.

But the two things they can add are either GPS or a Camera.

Other than that, I don't see them updating anything other than the memory.

maybe they will introduce an ipod touch with 64GB of memory and i think they will do a complete overhaul when they do the same with the iPhone 3G in a year.

I do not think that they will be coming out when the new iPhone comes out since it would sort of steal the new iPhone's thunder.  But I do see them coming out with the same new features (3G network and GPS-assistance) in the near future.  I also think that since they dropped the iPhone price, they will drop the iPod Touch price.

Unfortunately, I don't think they'll be coming out with an update any time soon. And I say this because they just came out with one in the beginning of this year. However, I heard some rumors that they might make a new iPod line that will be amazing and better than ever. Then again, that is just a rumor. And honestly, I don't think they would add a camera to the iPod touch... it's a great idea but they wouldn't sell as many iPhones if they did, in my opinion.
