http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, by eleven points in the Primera Division.
Last weekend was not a good one for Real. The club’s shock 1-0 loss to Real Betis was coupled with Barcelona’s trashing of Levante by 4-0.
That meant Barca capitalized on Madrid’s loss as they added three more points to their already eight-point lead over the defending champions.
However, it is not yet over for Los Blancos midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alonso-c5254. He is still adamant and believes that it is too early to concede the title at this moment.
The midfielder believes there are still many more months and games to play, and during that period many things can change, as it is usually in football.
“We are in November. There remain many months and a lot can happen.”
The Spanish international has admitted that his team isn’t considered as favourite to retain the title this time around, but is urging his teammates to keep believing and not give up hope so soon.
“We have to keep believing the situation can get better, football is full of surprises. It is clear that we are not favourites but we will fight till the end.”
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 man was asked about why Los Blancos could not register an easy win over Levante as Barcelona did on the weekend.  The midfielder simply said that every game is not the same.
“Every game is different. You have to appreciate that, it’s not intentional [on Levante’s part].”
Finally, the 31-year-old then talked about the mood at the Santiago Bernabeu and reiterated his support for the club boss, Jose Mourinho.
“When you lose the feeling is different, but you have to keep going. We have to focus on the games, being self-critical and reflective. The club is with the Coach. He’s the best Coach we could have and I have no doubts he wants to be here.”
Next match in La Liga, Real Madrid will face their city rivals Atletico Madrid. This is the first time, since back in 2009, that Real are behind their derby rivals on points.
