The Spanish midfielder is thankful to the Portuguese coach who has given most of his players an extended break after their exploits in the Euro 2012.
During this summer, the Euro 2012 kicked off which means that many of the Real Madrid players had to play in the prestigious competition.
Real Madrid’s first-team includes a lot of players who were a part of the European tournament.
Following is the list of first-team players who joined their international sides to play in the Euro 2012:
Iker Casillas, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350.
So basically, 10 of the 11 first-team players were a part of the European Championships.
Among these players, many of them played in the final of the prestigious competition. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-Arbeloa-c5282 and Xabi Alonso were all a part of the final since they are in the Spanish team.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 won the title for the second successive time and they managed to make history as no other European team has ever managed to achieve this.
Since most of the players are tired and barely got a break during this summer, Jose Mourinho was smart enough to give extended breaks to his players.
Since all of these players have seen a lot of football and are tired of playing football, the Portuguese mentor has decided to give them an extended break so they can relax their muscles in order to avoid future fatigue and injuries.
That is one of the reasons why Madrid are also penetrating into the market because Mourinho wants to rest the players who have been playing a lot of football. Since most of these first team players are important for Mourinho, he definitely does not want
them to receive long-term injuries; hence, he wants to give them a rest by signing new players suitable in those positions.
Xabi http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alonso-c5254 has acknowledged the fact that Mourinho has given all these players an extended break as he believes that the players needed it.
While giving out an exclusive interview to ESPN Star, Xabi Alonso said:
"Jose's smart enough to give us some time to relax, to disconnect from this intense situation-it has been long and intense for a lot of us-time to charge batteries because another exciting situation is coming on the way."
Alonso recently helped Spain win the Euro 2012.
