Alonso upbeat about future whereas Trulli dejected after current season

Fernando Alonso, who is back in contention after the German Grand Prix, is waiting to come back to circuit as the F1 season takes a two weeks break. Alonso believes that it is frustrating for him to wait for two weeks as he eyes the next race. On the other hand, Jarno Trulli is under immense pressure as he has failed to score a single point in the current season. However, he has brushed aside the calls regarding his retirement and is hopeful about his future.
The formula One season which has gone into summer hibernation has clearly frustrated Alonso who wants to go back to the racing track as early as possible. Talking to a reporter, the two-time World Champion said that it will not be possible for him to relax in the coming weeks as he will not be able to concentrate on any other thing. He further said that he will try to relax and do a bit of other sport but as a human for at least once a day, maybe just for 10 minutes, he will definitely think about the next race in Belgium. Alonso believes that every driver will be going through the same phase during the two weeks holiday.
According to Alonso, after a few bad races in the start, his team is back on track and are heading for the title. He is optimistic about the future as he believes that his team will further improve as the season progresses. He said, “After a few unlucky races, which went badly for various reasons, we are now on the right road. The car is much improved and so that makes me more optimistic and has seen the whole team grow in confidence. In Spa, we will have a few more things and we hope they help us progress still more.”
The new regulations governing F1 allows more competition than previous editions. This was evident when Ferrari came back in contention just after winning two races despite early dominance of the season by McLaren and Red Bull. Alonso is fully aware of this fact and is relishing at the title. He also added that despite the fact that Ferrari is behind in the table, but he believes that in the final phase, Ferrari will improve its position and will come closer to the top.
Currently Red Bull leads both the Driver and Constructors’ championship. Mark Webber is at the top of the table followed by his team mate Sebastian Vettel at the second spot, with a difference of just 10 points. Alonso is confident that Red Bull will lose their lead in the future as they will be under immense pressure in the final weeks of the season. He said, “It's hard to say who is my strongest rival - we are all almost equal. Maybe, Hamilton, Button and myself, who have already won a title, will tackle the final rush in a calmer way, having already experienced something similar. Percentage chance? I'd say 50%, which is the normal state of affairs.”
On the other hand, Jarno Trulli is facing through the most difficult time of his career as he has failed to grab a single point in the ongoing season. However he is adamant that he will not be calling his day any sooner. “Honestly, I don't know when. If I'm suddenly no longer fast than it makes no sense to remain in Formula One. Of course this year is difficult for me to accept but the outlook for 2011 is better. I do not want to come to terms with being a backmarker,” apparently frustrated Trulli told AutoBild. He further added that the reason why he joined Lotus was its long-term plan and his apprehensions regarding first season with Lotus were confirmed in the start but he believes that it is patience which is the requirement of the time now.
