is it a double helix?

part of a tertiary structure and is stabilized by disulfide bridges?

stabilized by hydrogen bonds and found in fibrous proteins?

  1. Alpha helix is a common motif in the secondary structure of proteins (with the other being beta sheets). They are stabilized by hydrogen bounds. Yes, they are found in globular proteins (and most proteins in fact - if you look at a tertiary/quaternary protein structure and see a helix, then it has alpha helices).
