Alpine amp lcd dispalys error ec

Question

I have an alpine amplifier with an lcd screen. It's brand new. It was running for a couple of days now It will cut out after 3-4 min. and the lcd dislays the letters ec. I have done some reserch and I rhink it stands for excess current. What do I have to do to fix it? Thank you:)
