Already Gone seals surprise win in the 400m Heat at Romford – Grade A1

The son of Droopys Maldini out of Sammardan Daisy, Already Gone, finished first in the 400 metre long Grade A1 sprint, held at Romford on Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
The cash prize for the winner of the competition was £135.
Prideoftopgolf, who had a starting price of 3 to 1, was the strongest contender in the contest. However, he was outclassed by the champion, Already Gone, who started off the race from the first trap.
Trained by J W Reynolds, the dog was enjoying the winning probability of 7 to 2. However, he displayed far better than expected, grabbing the top position by covering the area in 24.49 seconds.

The champion hound was followed by Boo Boos Bella, the daughter of Black Shaw out of Boo Boos Baby.

With odds of 4 to 1, the b***h began the clash from the second stall. After leaving the trap, the rampant b***h crossed the wire in 24.53 seconds, missing the top slot by a margin of just 0.04 seconds.
The third place was nabbed by Regal Mystic, the b***h with the winning chances of 4 to 1.

The daughter of Droopys Kewell out of Moody Julia, was standing in the third trap ahead of the show.

After an impressive beginning, A J Ingram’s trainee could not retain her impressive early pace and subsequently finished third in 24.91 seconds.
By reaching the post in 24.92 seconds, Lavally Sunrise, the son of Droopys Scolari out of Lavally Laura, sealed the fourth place on the chart.

It was a close contest between Lavally Sunrise and Regal Mystic, but the latter eventually seized the third position.
The race was a big disappointment for Prideoftopgolf, the black dog with the highest starting price.

The son of Phoenix Paddy out of Amandas Joshe, could only manage to lock the fifth position, touching the final line in 25.24 seconds.
The son of Crash out of Bubbly Kate, Centurion Jack completed the order of finish. Trained by P W Young, the hound wrapped up the party in 25.32 seconds.

He was the 7 to 2 betting choice favourite, breaking the fourth stall in the row.
Already Gone has registered his second back-to-back victory. He was not at his best last year, but with a fine run at the start of 2012, the hound has certainly made a good impression.
