  1. good question here's a star !

ok the Red Sox were the Boston Braves they changed their name to the Boston Red Sox in 1908 and they played in Huntington Avenue Grounds where they won the World Series in 1903. The first two years they finished second and third. It was 1912 when they won 105 they also won the World Series that year

  2. you gave half of the answer...you should of not....  =]

Red Sox were founded in Buffalo, NY..moved to Boston in 1901.

They played their home games in Huntington Avenue Baseball Grounds before moving to Fenway Park. They finished in 2nd and 3rd place on the first 2 years as Red Sox. In 1903 they won the WS by defeating the Pirates and the 105 win season was in 1912.

  5. Yankees fan here. Here are my answers. (And no, I didn't look on Wikipedia or any other site for answers.)

The New York Yankees were originally the Baltimore Orioles. They moved to New York in 1903 and were originally called the Highlanders (because they played at Hilltop Park in northern Manhattan). They changed their name to the Yankees after they were constantly referred to as the Yankees in the headlines of New York newspapers who thought Highlanders was too long.

Edit: 1913 was the year the Yankees officially dropped the Highlanders name for Yankees. (I knew I'd remember that.)
