Juliet speaks the line in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.  She uses the line when she questions the hate between her family and that of Romeo's.  It is a feud between the Capulet and the Montague families.  Juliet speaks the line as a question of why her family would hate Romeo just because of his surname.  That line includes:

    "That which they call a rose,

    were it not called a rose

    would still smell as sweet."

  4. actually, shakepeare wrote that in romeo and juliet. i am pretty sure Juliet says it when she is saying that she loves romeo even though he is a montague.
