  1. If it looks like this:

It is ammonia burns. It is caused by a high quantity of ammonia in your tank. You need to upgrade your filtration and keep your tank cycled on top of your weekly water changes.

  2. Maybe you added something to the water...Or you shouldn't change the water...The baby goldfishes may not get use to it...

  3. did you dechlorinate the water? it sounds like either chlorine burns or ammonia burns. do a full water test this should tell you whats wrong eith him. if you don't have a tester kit take a sample to a local aquarium and they will do one for you for usually around ten dollars.

if it is ammonia, you will need to do a ten percent water change daily until the ammonia readings are zero, then keep an eye on it, if it is chlorine you need to do a 50 percent water change daily for three days.

make sure all the chemicals you're using are correct, you should have a dechlorinator, a general hardness conditioning salt, and a carbonate hardness salt. goldfish also benefit from small amounts of aquarium salt, it helps keep diseases down, this has notihng to do with what you asked, but it's a good thing to know! my goldfish thrive on it! good luck!
