I'd start out with searching on an online database like the UWPs (http://www.theultimates.com/white/) (these might be just for US but I am sure AU also has something similar) and then also google her. There just might be something that would be of help. All the best!

If you have someone in Australia they can look her name up on the electoral roll.  Most electoral offices in capital cities will give you access to everywhere in Australia.

You'll need to give all of the information you can. Problem could be name changes due to marriage etc. etc.

Do you know where she went, around what date? Is it possible  that she would be avoiding people finding her, as that would make it even more difficult. There are organisations like the Salvation Army that might help, but you'd have to show a good reason why they should.
