Alright im in track (summer vacation now though) what workout can I do to sty in shape for track and cross?

I cant get access to a track every day. But I can run streets and stuff. Any workouts? THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH!!!

  2. Don't do three days of long runs, it is called a long run for a reason. You probably want to do your long run once a week. I run average of 6 miles on monday-wednsday-friday, speed workouts on tuesday, strength on thursday, and long run saturday (anywhere from 10-13 miles). I take sundays off beacause it helps me get recovered and I fell good the day after.

    You might not want to run what I am but that is a schedule you could use and put your own workouts in it. Your coach is the person you should ask beacause they know what you are capable of and will know what to do.

  3. i also run track and cross country and i suggest that you make a schedule 3 days do long runs 1 day do a speed workout (fartlek) 1 day do a hill workout 1 day to do a slow run/ build core muscles and 1 day rest. it tends to help if you mix it up and not to do the same workout every week. and your not only limited to this.
