Alright....let's be honest about these rock bands?

Question

I know there are going to be bashers on here who will take shots at the following bands....but, if nobody else saw your answers, wouldn't you admit deep down that they actually write some good tunes?

Sure, they've gotten alot of mainstream rock airplay, but does that really make them that nauseating? Really?

I'm a weirdo, so I sometimes hate bands or songs because of a personal reason.  I think that may apply to some of these bands.

3 Doors Down - They dont suck THAT bad.

Creed - suck.

Finger 11 - Alright.

Hinder - SUCK SUCK SUCK.  No talent, and their singer sings like a frog.

Crossfade - they dont stand out

Three Days Grace- I kinda like a song of theirs.

Puddle of Mudd - Not too bad.  Dont listen to em, but dont hate em.

Nickelback ( I don't like these guys at all....)  DIE!!!!  NO TALENT HAVING NITWITS.

Saliva - Personal reasons.  My friends groupie mom gave the guitarist oral pleasures and I've never been able to look at them the same.

They are all corporate rock bands who use minimal artistry in their music. Their sound is the result of studio tricks.

All of these bands were made in boardrooms by music businessmen who are more worried about making money than in showcasing talent.

The 'music' of all of these bands is produced in the same slick, generic way which is why they all sound the same. These are the bands that think if you have a riff and a beat you can make a song. WRONG!!

A song is a structure. Where's the melody and the harmony?? You won't find it in these bands. It's music made in the easiest, most generic way possible. And don't tell it more about the lyrics and not the music because most lyrics these days are derivative, lumbering pieces of c**p.

This, to me, makes all these bands nauseating!

Three Days Grace-singer has no talent at all.

The only band on that list that I even care for is 3 Doors Down. Other than that, I dislike the rest. I don't give them much thought, and deep down I'll always admit whether or not I like something, regardless of what others will think.

Finger 11 sucks MONKEY BALLS. I am not usually this pissy about groups, but they really DO suck that much. Well, Three Doors down is okay, as is Puddle of Mudd, but the others just sound way too similar in my honest opinion. Not necessarily to each other, and they don't necessarily all eat it musically, but they don't have anything special that would make me want to listen to them.

I reallllly don't like Three Days Grace or Nickelback, but the others are at least tolerable I guess.  No wait, Creed is horrible.  Puddle of Mudd is the best out of those bands.

I like old Three Days Grace.. before they went emo.

The one Im embarassed to admit is that I think a COUPLE of Nickleback's songs are catchy and not too hard to listen to. But the actual members just seem too cocky.

I like some 3 Doors Down,Creed, Three Days Grace, Puddle of Mudd, and Saliva.

Not my fave but I have a selection of songs from them that I like.

Out of all of them though, I like Saliva the most.

3 Doors Down - I quite like them, best off the list IMO.

Creed - A definite no.

Finger 11 - Haven't heard anything else other than their song, obviously, Paralyzer. Was on the radio for a pretty long time and it got a tad bit annoying.

Hinder - Awful band with an awful lead vocalist.

Crossfade - Haven't heard much of them so I won't judge.

Three Days Grace - Nope.

Puddle of Mudd - Major no from me!

Nickelback - Similar to Hinder, excpet more of the awful part.

Saliva - Not something I would spend my time listening to.

The list you put up has me thinking about these groups on a different level than I did before.

Before: I never even had a level for them. I have heard their music and it's all the same. Like one big Laxative.

But, since listening to them again without the overplayment issue, some do have pretty good songs. I guess it helps to be away for awhile

Crossfade, Saliva and 3 Doors Down are decent bands.

Nauseating is Nickelback, Three Days Grace, Finger Eleven and Puddle of Mudd! They sound horrible.

Hinder sounds okay in a studio but if you've ever heard them live, then you will hate them forever. They are really that bad.

Creed took all the best elements out of Pearl Jam and tried to create something great, I think they sounded very very sappy.

I've never heard of Crossfade, but other than that i love this bands.

Creed is the only one that i don't feel so strong about, i like Alterbridge better, but most of their songs are great.
