  1. As a Boston fan I hope its anywhere but Boston...this has got to be top 5 (maybe even number 1) for stupid programming gimmicks that ESPN has come up with...give it to anyone but Boston...because I would love to laugh at someone who actually brags that their town was named Titletown.

  2. The thing is rigged if New York doesn't win.

  3. Boston is titletown !@

  4. honestly its a bit biased but if NY doesn't win it then the thing is fixed and a winner was predetermined before all hte voting

im not saying NY teams are the best, but they have the most titles of any and all other cities mentioned

    Yanks 26

    Mets 2

Giants 3 Super Bowls (4 League Championships before the SB was official)

    Jets 1 (AFL-NFL Championship in 1968)

    Knicks 2

    Rangers 4

    Islanders 4

not to mention the NCAA basketball teams that have won in the past, and the Dodgers and Giants aren't even there anymore

honestly, who has more titles than that??

EDIT: unknown im not saying the competition is biased im saying IM BIASED because i live in the ny metro area

  5. New York

  6. I still think it should have been Athens GA

  7. At 6 P.M. we will find out. I think it should be New York. You got the legends of Yankee stadium. World Series Titles from the Mets and Yankees. The New York Football Giants winning the Super Bowl. The Rangers and the Islanders Hockey. The Knicks legend. Madison Square Garden. The Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants have played here. Gehrig, Strawberry, Ruth, Maris, Mantle, Jeter, A-Rod, Goose Gossage, Whitey Ford, Berra, DiMaggio, Rizzuto. The list goes on and on.

  8. parkersburg

  9. I don't care about the titletown gimmick on ESPN.  I think that New York has more titles in all sports combined & that's just my opinion but could be true though

  10. espn did it wrong

you cant compare the swamp of florida to new york city its just not fair

its like comparing barack obama to john mccain lol

u need to keep the college cities and major cities like new york on two differnt categories

  11. no way is it new york lmao

lmao new york fans already think its basid before people voting... =\

So if its not newyork its basid? GET OVERYOURSELF.

  12. def NY. 26 world championships for the yankees, 2 for the mets, 4 stanley cup titles in a row for the islanders, a few for the rangers, and 3 for the giants andd 1 for the jets. no brainer

  13. It's going to come down to Los Angeles, Detroit, New York, Chicago and Boston.  These are the biggest markets in sports and I guarantee titletown will go to 1 of these cities.

New York and California have the most teams throughout sports so I would be surprised if they didn't win it.  When you have 2 teams for each sport, titles quickly add up.

  14. Definitely New York will win.

  15. Valdosta, GA

  16. It doesn't matter Green Bay already trademarked Titletown. This was the dumbest thing ESPN has ever done. The board meeting probably went something like this.

Chris Berman: We need something to do this summer.

Stuart Scott: Big ups to my man Boomer for coming up with that great idea.

Berman: I didn't give an idea yet. We need something to make Boston look good.

Scott: Yo my man that's even better. Can we put Chapel Hill in there too. And a whole bunch of high schools no one cares about?

Berman: Yeah, what binds these cities together? They all have titiles. We can call it titletown USA.

John Anderson: But..but,but Green Bay is already Titletown USA.

Berman: Anderson doesn't Green Bay get enough credit? Honestly? It's time that underrated cities like Boston and New York finally get the credit they deserve. Whooop.

Anyway it better be Green Bay.
