What are the best shoes for me to purchase for running and basic excercise. I run a couple miles outside on asphalt every couple days and want a strong comfortable shoe. The shoe must be light, stylish, affordable (under $80). Any suggestions?

  1. My spikes are Aasics and I love them..and they made other kinds of aasics sneakers besides spikes so I am sure they would be suitable. My sneakers that I run in everyday are adidas and I have been purchaseing adidas for a few years now..they are great shoes and have never caused me an injury plus they usually price aound 45 dollers. these are some shoes you can pick from adidas http://www.adidas.com/campaigns/usrunnin...

  2. I've ran everyday with the same pair of nike shox for 2 years now. yea it's about time for some new ones.

  3. i would go with the good ol' Nike! lol

  4. I always choose Nikes  after years of trying everything else, but they change shoes every year, so I never get the same shoe twice, but you have to go to the  shoe store and try em out. dont go to Footlocker, they dont have a good selection.

go to The Athletes foot or a running store

  5. no, i try to run more but im lazy, lol. i just got some basics from foot locker, there pretty good, they were 40 dollars.

  6. i recomend ,for spikes, nerve lds. they are very light and strong. They fell like socks :) for training i recomend heavier shoes, they may be uncomfortable but they help.

  7. go for asics gel 2120

  8. oasics are really comfortable & affordable.

    i'm a cross country runner

and they got me through the season:)

  9. It really depends on your foot. If you live in New Mexico, go to Heart and Sole Sports,   they are the best EVER!!!!!

The number 1 running shoe in the country is the Brookes Adrenaline.     Try not to get the super comfy ones. super comfy = bad stability, you will pronate bad and get injuries, pronate means your foot goes inward, and it makes your shins and knees and feet hurt.

Try to get shoes that are stable, but are also comfy. Those are the best.

I pronate SO bad, but I always go to heart and sole and they put me on a treadmill, and show me what shoes I need.    If you live in Colorado, go to Boulder Running Co.   They are awesome too.

Try a lot of different stores and shoes. Find one that you don't pronate in, or supinate in, which means the opposite of pronate, your foot goes outwards instead of inwards.

Don't get sketchers, they are comfy, but break down fast and have BAD stability,

Oh and the one girl who said Red by Mark Ecko, do NOT get those, they are cute and stylish but awful for running.

    Good luck with your running!

  10. Red by Marc ecko they are comfortable stylish & i'm not sure but I think they are 65 or 70 $ .

  11. I train in steel toe boots. To put more weight on my feet while I run. Then I take them of during a contest such as a track meet. Or marathon. and put on some bouncy running shoes for longer strides when I run. Both of those shoes together are under $80. I recommend NIKE running shoes.

  12. asics and brooks for more arch support. but if you have flat feet, then try nike.

  13. I love Aasics. They are the best for me. Some are over $80, but you can find them on sell.
