Alt. Medicine remedies/cure for Lyme Disease?

My sister has been diagnosed with Lyme disease after going on Holiday to the U.S. Lyme disease has been present for 2 days now, the disease was transmitted most probably 1 week ago.

If it really is Lyme disease, then standard antibiotics are a cure.  There are no legitimate Altie treatments for Lyme disease I have heard of.

However, there are a large group of people who have been misdiagnosed with Lyme Disease by unscrupulous AltMed and naive MD's.  They claim that people with things like fibromyalgia, depression, multiple chemical sensitivity etc all really have undiagnosed Lyme disease, and that science based medicine doesn't use the "proper" test.  There is only one lab that can do the "proper" test, and every lab sample they've ever been sent is "positive".  There is an MD in a town a few 100 miles from me who is a self described world authority on Lyme disease.  Conveniently enough, every single patient he has ever seen with whatever complaints they have has been diagnosed as having Lyme Disease and been put on a bizarre regime of treatments.
