Alt-Rixdorf Christmas Market, anyone going this year?

It's a smashing evening out, especially if the weather is clear and frosty. All the stalls are oil lit and it doesn't suffer from the big "commerical" stallholders. Still plenty of opportunity to eat and drink though... (wouldn't be Germany without lots of eat and drink.)

  1. That has got to be one of the best Christmas markets around was there a couple of year back last year it was koeln and this year I'm off to Nuremberg. One of my favourites is in a small town called Bad Salzuflen you should try it, Klein aber fein....

  2. The second best christmas market in Berlin as to my opinion; you really got some taste! But you should try the one at Spandau, too. I don't live in Berlin any more, I'm in Bavaria now, and I'm still undecided about whether to go to the famous Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt, the Regensburg one, or the one in Erding (between Munich and Franz Josef Strauß airport). I'll go by train anyway, because drinking Glühwein (hot, spiced red wine) at the market and driving a car doesn't go well with police regulations. And I love to have a Bratwurst and a cup of Glühwein or two at christmas markets.
