Question:

Alternate Energy Sources?

Fuel Prices are soaring, although this is hardly suprising, as we've all know for Decades that Oil was a finite source of Energy.

I wonder how much research is being done into finding an alternative and Viable source of Energy to replace it, because in the long term, things are going to get much worse !

Surely if Governments, want to help reduce Inflation and the Risk of Recession, they would try to help these alternate's along

  1. Tons of it - especially now that a buck can be made on alternative energy:

    Ethanol

    Gas/Electric Hybrid

    Compressed air engine

    Wind

    Wave/Tidal

    Photovoltaic

    Solar Thermal

    Geo Thermal

    Hydrogen Fuel Cells

    Battery technology

    Nuclear fusion

    Nuclear Fission

    Clean Coal

    Coal gasification

    Methane Hydrates

    Super capacitors

Everyday in the news there is a report of funding (public and private) into alternative energy research and development.

  2. Lot of research is on progess such as wind energy utilization, tidal energy utilization, solar energy utilization and conservation of energy through minimization and optimum utility of available technologies and materials.
