Alternate email and groups not working?

Question

I have changed my alternate email that I had previoulsy used when signing up to groups. Now I don't get the daily and instant messages and cannot post to the groups.

I go into manage groups and edit the 1st group that needs changing and under email I have the yahoo email address in bold, but my alternate primary email has disabled next to it - yet it shows up as verified when I go into my account details (I have verified it) .

How can I receive the group emails to my alternate address?
