Question:

Alternate side parking ticket?

I found a ticket for alternate side parking on my car yesterday. I have never gotten a ticket before, so I have no idea what to do. I was charged $26 and on the ticket it says "You are hereby summoned to appear in court..." but there is no court date, only a court time and the date that my fine is due. Can I just pay the fine and get this over with? And also, can I get points for this?

  1. there should be a number on it call it and they will tell u what to do but usually u can just pay it n not go to court they give u a choice to go to court to fight the tiket

  2. you can call the court clerk where you recieved this ticket and either contest it  or plead guilty and pay it(which is what most people do) and honestly for $26 is that worth you time going and sitting in court for hours maybe waiting to get fineds anyways?  I am not sure how NJ works but a parking ticket is not a moving violation so there should be no issue with points orshould this even show up anywhere on your driving record.
