  1. yes

  2. how high is your fever? take the meds according to what the bottle said. i mean is the tylenol 200 mg or 600 mg? same with motrin. just dont take more than the dose on the bottle says. if it says take every 6 hours. then follow that.

  3. If you took the Motrin at 11 then take the Tylenol next, about 4 hours or so around 3PM then take the motrin at around 7pm and so on until the doctor told you to stop. Hope this helped you.

  4. just keep doing what the doctor told you to do.u should feel a little better by tomorrow or the next day.

  5. It gets really confusing. For example, take the Motrin at 6 AM. Then take the Tylenol around 8. The next motrin and Tylenol would both be at noon. Just take them each according to package directions. Sometimes the doses will both be at once or close together. I had to do this for my son when he was a baby. I ended up writing a chart on a piece of paper to keep track of it all. It was the only thing that got his fever down though.

  6. Then you take tylonal then motrin and then so on. You are doin good! oh and i hope you feel better!!!

  7. I don't know why he would suggest alternating, as you can see that gets quite confusing.  Tyenol lasts on average 4-6 hours, and Motrin lasts on average 6-8 hours.

I would suggest just picking one and sticking with it for your fever as per the dosage and frequency recommended.  You will not have any problem as long as you don't exceed the recommended maximum dose. And even then, there are very wide safety margins.

  8. Tylenol every 6 hours and motrin 3 hours later and every 6 hours. UNTIL the fever breaks, then try to break off one or the other. Make sure you have at least a cracker in you stomach because the med is hard on an empty stomach.
