Alternating strengths and weaknesses?

Golf is so frustrating. Go out one round and suck at driving, but your short game is on. Go out again and your driving like a champ, but your short game isn't good. Go out again and everything is working except your putting stinks. How do you put it all together?

  1. When you do put it all together it is your round of the year.  That is what keeps us coming back.  A lesson from a good pro and practice will both help.  Also when your game is not quite right make sure your misses don't cost you multiple strokes(avoid hazards with your bad shots)

  2. sounds like your problem is mental. You seem to be able to do everything well, but not consistently. Just remember before every shot that you know how to play it and know what to do to execute it. Then it's all about performance. Even Tiger puts em in the water, but its not doing it again that matters. Remember, every shot is different. So if you miss it's could be because youve never had that shot before. Remember that a ball that is one foot away is a different shot even if both lies are the same and you are hitting the same club. One foot is one foot. and could be the difference in clearing the sand trap or the water. Every shot, drive, and putt is different. every time

  3. That is the beauty of it.  No matter how well you do, shooting your personal best score, there is always something that you can improve on.  There is no perfect round of golf, so you need to realize each day what is working and what isn't and adjust to maximize what you can.  You need to savor the feeling of that one shot that came off just as you visualized it and just strive for that feeling as often as you can.
