  1. My husband had to go through IV-EDTA chelation because of his amalgams being removed.  He didn't realize that the dentist is supposed to use a rubber dam.  He wound up in the ER and they did an MRI because we thought he was having a stroke.  They asked him a ton of questions and once the amalgams came up, they tested him for mercury. They also had him collect his urine for 24 hours.  His levels were high in his blood and not detectable in his urine which meant he wasn't excreting the mercury and his body needed help.  The M.D. he saw did the IV, chlorella homeopathy, and a product called modifilan.  My husband was also on a number of supps to support his body.  You do need to be careful because the mercury can be redistributed in your body if it doesn't have something to bind to.  There  are products out there like natural cellular defense and metal free that have good reviews and or M.D. is checking into them for us to see if it would be a good transition for my hubby.

There are some homeopathics that help support the body during chelation and they are noted at www.bluedominoes.com in their homeopathy section.

  2. Realize chelation is a potentially dangerous process, and just because it's en vogue right now to obsess over "toxins" without having evidence of them in your system, subjecting yourself to unnecessary risks might not be a bright idea..

  3. A selenium supplement every day might help as selenium to some extent reacts with heavy metals to form mercury selenide, arsenic selenide, cadmium selenide and lead selenide and these compounds are eliminated by our bodies.

Liquid chlorophyll every day might also help as it is supposed to detoxify your body of heavy metals such as mercury, arsenic, lead and cadmium.
