Alternative energy and plans for the future?

im doing a paper on alternative energy and im looking for a article that might show future plans of the US or other countries using alternatives...if anyone knows any articles or anything post up a link

There is a theory that methane gas(energy made out of garbage) could be a world wide power source.

I doubt it, but thats a good option.

A clean and cheap power cource is wind energy.

i feel its  better that we leave the modern life and return to forests to save the earth from further damage.

Waste to energy and wind are both good, but I think solar is going to be the next king of power.  Recently a rich guy announced he was going to built a gigantic solar powerplant in the US, but I forgot his name.
