  1. If you want to use the alternative for eggs in baking or cooking not just eating plain then they have egg substitutes which is a powder that works for substituting eggs. I use them and i have an egg allergy. They are available at any grocery store or health foods store.

  2. for baking you can use applesauce, smashed bananas, or egg replacer.

    ~ 1/2 of a smashed banana = 1 egg

    ~ 1/4 cup of apple sauce = 1 egg

~ a commercial egg replacer will tell you how much to use

here is a recipe for "scrambled eggs"

    hope this helps! : )

  3. Baking egg substitutes:

Egg substitute/replacer - such as Orgran's No Egg substitute mix, or Ener-G Egg Replacer.

Applesauce egg replacer: 3 Tablespoons applesauce = 1 egg.

Flax seed egg replacer: 2 Tablespoons flax seed powder + 3 Tablespoons water = 1 egg (let sit a few minutes before adding to baking)

Psyllium egg replacer: 1 Tablespoon Psyllium seed husks + 2 Tablespoons water = 1 egg (the longer they sit in water the "eggier" they become)

Banana - egg replacer: 1/2 banana blended or mashed well = 1 egg

Tofu - 1/4 cup blended soft or silken tofu = 1 egg

Tahini - thicker when raw, more egg like when diluted with water and stirred vociferously

    Whole peanut butter see Tahini

Tofu, potatoes, and chickpeas are used in cooking.

  5. There are lots of ways to cook without eggs. You can use EnerG Egg Replacer (available at most health foods stores) to replace eggs in baked goods. Here are some other ways to cook without eggs:

For scrambled eggs, you can use tofu and spices. Here's a good recipe: http://www.chooseveg.com/display_recipe....

Egg Beaters contain real eggs so they're not vegan.

  6. Tofu may be the alternative, protein and low fat.

  7. for baking use applesauce other than that cant help u.

  8. For baking, yes.  There's Ener-G egg replacer powder, you can use ground flax seeds mixed with water, applesauce, silken tofu or a mashed banana.

For making a sunny side up egg, no.  You can make a good scramble with tofu and you could even make it taste eggy with a little black salt.
