Alternative guinea pig food???

Question

i have 3 piggies. i thought i would have enough food to last till i get paid in 3 days but i ran out of food!!! and i have no money for 3 days!!! what should i feed them till then?? and please dont tell me im a horrible pet owner and i should burn in h**l!! im not a ad pet owner i just ran out of guinea pig food!!! i have hammy food... could i feed them that??

you can feed your guinea pigs with vegetables and fruits.

( if you will give them apples pls don't give them the seeds. it is bad them)

No hamster food, please. Guinea pigs need Vitamin C so feed them the veggies you have. If you have no veggies, you're screwed.

No hamster food!!!  That has seeds in it, which can cause tooth problems for pigs.  No celery, either.  The strings in the celery tend to get stuck between their teeth and cause chewing problems.

Feed them parsley, romaine lettuce, carrots, and apples if they like apples.  If you have a good source of pesticide-free grass, pull up many handfulls of grass and give that to them in place of hay until you get paid.

go in your refrigerator and see if you have things like baby carrots, lettuce, celary i think would work try cutting up apples and grapes even. i think i used to even give mine like crackers as a little treat its worth a shot and your not a bad pet owner i remember we ran out of dog food one time and couldnt get any until my mom got paid in a few days so we fed my dog peanut butter sandwiches lol you gotta do what ya gotta do.

Even cheap guinea pig food is better than no food at all. Can you go borrow $3 from somebody to buy a small bag of pellets & pay them back when you get paid in three days???

You could feasibly just feed the piggies fresh veggies & hay until you can get some pellets, but I would only do this as a last resort. The drastic change in diet would upset the balance in the digestive tract, which is used to getting pellets. The following is a list of piggie-friendly veggies:

Mine used to love clover. Just make sure it has not been sprayed with pesticides.
