Alternative neightborhoods in England other then Camden Town?

Are there other alternative neighborhoods in Englands besides Camden Town where lots of musicians, artists and weirdos live?

Actually, I'd say Camden Town is largely inhabited by pretty ordinary, middle-class folk - most of the 'weirdos' you see in the markets are tourists and visitors or live elsewhere in London entirely!

Neighbourhoods around universities and arts colleges are often arty and vibrant, as are areas which are still relatively cheap. In London, areas like Soho and the new 'trendy' parts of the East End are quite arty. But people mostly live all over the place.

weirdos inhabit all areas of life darl...Croydon contains as many nutters as Camden and its in the suburbs.....check out Brixton or Brighton if you wanna go further afield..enjoy
