Alternative to cell phone holster?

Question

I refuse to wear one of those ueber-goofy things on my belt, but that gives me the problem of what to do with my phone? I put it in my pocket and it calls people randomly....I carry it and I drop it (that gets expensive in a hurry). Anybody got any ideas for transporting my phone about my person, which will accomplish the goals of keeping it at hand and protected, without making me look as if I am trying out for Mr. Dorky Universe? thanks for your sanguine advice...

You can actually keep it in your pocket after locking the keypads, by doing this it prevents from dialing up calls randomly.. I hope this helps :)
