Alternative to motorcycle safety course?

im 17, in iowa, is there any other alternative to get out of taking the motorcycle safety course to get my class M liscense? i dont want to pay the money to learn somethingi already know how to do. Can i test out of it or anything or am i gonna have to suck it up and take it.

I'm sure at 17, you know all about riding motorcycles. I had been riding since I was 13, and I took the course before I got my first motorcycle license when I was 47. Guess what...I actually learned some things. Completing the course may also give you an insurance discount. You'll get that money back.

Go to the DMV and read the motorcycle manual, take the written test, then the "behind the wheel" test.
