Alternative to oil?

Question

if there was an alternative to oil, and it was discovered tomorrow that cost almost nothing do you think the governments would silence the inventors (kill).

Too much money to lose?

Most of the Congress, with special interests, would.  Both parties, Democrats and Republicans, for the most part care only about themselves, not us, the public.

It kills me when I hear members of either party attacking each other.  They all ride the most popular waves of the time to benefit themselves.

We have alternatives. Wind, solar, the electric car, and their are companies willing to put up the money, but to truly succeed they need the governments support.

Watch 'Who Killed The Electic Car?' No one died, but as of now the USA is in the oil buisness.

Think the other way.  The entire American economy runs on oil - when oil becomes prohibitively expensive, the United States will fall just as Rome did.  Literally our entire economy depends on cheap petroleum.  If a real alternative to petroleum were discovered tomorrow, we could continue to live the good life.  If it is not discovered, America is going down.

There is actually a type of plant known as the 'physics nuts' which produces the next best alternative fuel to crude oil. You may want to search on it.
