  1. I eat a Kashi bar, it has protein and fiber in it and tastes good.  They are sold for about $1 each individually, they are labeled chewy.  They come in oatmeal cookie, peanut butter chocolate and chocolate toffee.  I hear the ones sold in boxes are nasty and taste like the box, those aren't labeled as chewy.

  2. Quaker's chewy 90 calorie granola bars. I love the chocolate and baked apple flavours!

  3. Fruit and yogurt is always good if you don't have much of an appetite. I often make smoothies out of frozen berries such as blackberries, strawberries, raspberries (can buy them in the freezer section really reasonably or pick blackberries for free from hedgerows). Just add fruit, yogurt, honey and apple juice . Make it the night before so in the morning you just have to drink a glass and you're set for the day

  4. you can always eat something as easy and as light as a yoghurt first thing in the morning simply just to "break-the-fast" after sleep and then you can have something a bit later when you feel hungrier. personally, i like to treat myself to something like brioche and a cup of coffee, or a croissant/cornetto with a cup of coffee but when i feel i want to be healthier, i make myself my own muesli, it's absolutely delicious and it's actually something to look forward to when i wake up and it is REALLY healthy (save perhaps a little high in sugar)

    1. I get a bowl of all bran (not too much bran) and i crush it with the back of my spoon almost to the consistancy of sand.

    2. I then add looooads of dried fruit (dried apricot bits, blueberries, cranberries and raisins, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, already pre-mixed which i keep in a box) and pile it on.

    3. then i practically drown it all in soy milk

It tastes absolutely amaaazin - the soy milk loses it's "soy milk" flavour (although i do actually like soy milk - it just seems to improve) it's absorbed by the bran and creates this almost creamy taste and consistency, and then there is the sweetness from the fruit and then the contrast of flavour from the seeds (slightly savoury)

It's healthy because: a) bran is VERY high in fiber, b) the soy milk i use contains omega 3 (alpro's original), c) the fruit counts as one of your five a day (so you already get one of those before you've even got dressed), d) and the seeds are packed with protein - a bit of everything!

so have things pre-made such as that in the morning and you literally just smack it together in a couple of minutes! genuinely tasty and nutrious!
