Is there a massive form of transportation (public or privately mandated) that could be implemented to help reduce the amount of cars and traffic on the road?

  1. Many cities have what is a "monopoly". One company has a contract to provide mass transit to a city. That company sometimes has authority enough in which it is not allowed to be competed with. I disagree with this as the population rises one company cannot provide the needs of many to relieve congestion. Many times they have odd schedules because they are not made by people who live in the city. Alternatives will have to be put in place a few decades from now if not sooner. Even rural town roads are getting more congestion these days!
