Hi,

I read a lot of horror stories abotu how painul Zoom teeth whitening system is and I do not wish to go through this pain since I know my teeth are very sensitive. Does anyone know any alternative methods? Or professional whitening kits at home that I could get from my doctor without the ZOOM thing?

  1. crest white strips are actually extremely effective, all whitening induces sensitivity pain, although it only temporary. So brush with sensodyne or similiar toothpaste that will ease the pain.

  2. I have had ZOOM whitening done on my own teeth and so have 2 of my daughters and my husband and son.  My dental office provides this service so we do this very often for patients.  I am ready to have this done a second time-my first time was in April of 2006.

After the procedure my own experience was that the rest of the day my teeth hurt.  I took ibuprofen and ended up going to bed at an earlier time.  When I woke up the next day, I felt fine and my teeth were fine.  They felt fine.   AND They were WHITE  :)))

About 50% of people have my same response, and 50% seem to have no sensitivity at all.  We have had no one have more sensitivity than I did.

For the amount of results that I got in the time I had to spend, it was worth the pain.

You could just get regular bleach trays and take home bleach from the dentist.

  3. The Ultradent brand of products have a non-sensitivity component in them.....that I have tried (get very sensitive) and works.....You might see if your dentist caries that brand.
