Alternator for Low rpm?

is there any alternator suitable for low rpm? it's around 160rpm.

and what will the Wh can be generated?

  1. Automobile alternators are quite versatile.  With slow speed you would want to increase the field current, You will probably want to design your own regulator to account for the slow speed. I have seen induction motors modified with permanent magnets in the rotor. With modern magnets this technique might produce a low speed alternator.


  2. An alternator could be built for that speed, though it is unusually low. The watt hours will depend on how much torque you have available (you didn't say) and how long you run the thing.
