Although I am saved, I am still very scared?

Question

I pray everyday to Jesus, but I am still afraid that I will go to h**l.

I have nightmares , very scared I will lose my salvation.

I also have a brother , he is not saved yet, I don't know how to convice him because I don't want him to be tortured in h**l.

How do I get rid of my fear?

I can barely sleep.

There's something in your life that you haven't come face to face with or that you haven't forgiven yourself for. You shouldn't witness or preach to someone about something if you are worried about those intentions yourself. You may not be ready but there's no time for being ready if you have a friends salvation on the line. I think you're being told to look deep within yourself and find a closer meaning to your salvation and a closer contentness to what you've done in your past.

If you want to talk to someone about salvation, fire and brimstone don't always work, and usually don't. You may want to just discuss each other's views on it first. That way you can lay out yours to him without insulting his or being too pushy. That way you've given him an oppurtunity to save himself. You cannot save him! You're only a witness and you can't put that on your shoulders when you have no control in the end whether or not they go to h**l. As long as you've mentioned it and tried, you've done your part.

I believe this is the wrong category, but I'll try my best to answer. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ will have everlasting life. Keep the faith. God loves you and forgives us for our sins if we repent. Follow the 10 commandments and do the right things. There is still time for your brother, but you can not force him into christianity. He has to accept Jesus as his personal savior on his own. Just try to talk to him and hopefully in time he will come around.

It is amazing what superstition can do to people. It can cause insanity. It can cause wars that might destroy the world.

I thought Santa Claus was going to bring me a bag of switches because I peed on the flower bed when I was 3 years old.

hun you dont need 2 be scared if u are living a good life. no one is perfect but we have a very forgiving God. just try ur hardest 2 live for Him. and as for ur brother, all that u can do is pray and try 2 lead him in the right direction. so hang in there!! God will never leave you or forsake you ;)

I will tell  you this  it is very much fear based

my mom is the same way

i was raised in a strict religion   i quite at 12   said no way will i live in fear

could not understand a god that would do such a thing

sounded more like a tyrant
