  1. Go here... http://www.nicoclub.com/articles/altimac... , then read http://www.nicoclub.com/articles/altimac... , and then you'll have the answer to your question.

NICO club got their hands on a coupe before it was even released to the public.

It's a great car.  Enough said.

  2. Coupes are for people wit no or not many friends. Full size coupes are for people who have no or not many friends and make good enough money for gas. In other words if you really want to get a coupe get a small coupe like a civic . Cheaper- better mpg- great rating - looks good-want else do you need.

Or just get a 4 door altima, what the point of getting full sized coupe ?

  3. I love the 3.5 liter model since it's the best looking coupe to carry Nissan's VQ35DE engine which is an absolute work of art by itself. The 350Z just never did it for me.

The 2.5 liter engine Nissan has been using since about 2002, the QR25DE, is hardly reliable and has been known to ingest it's pre-cats and intake butterfly valve screws. I've also heard there was a recall in addition to the above 2 problems for oil consumption which may or may not be attributed to the precat debris getting stuck in the cylinders.

  4. Car is safe are you? Please take time to find a DRIVER'S EDGE performance and driving safety course. Over 7,000 young people will not be here next year killed in car crashes. Please drive very carefully and extra cautious at night or with friends in the car. Distractions can ruin a nice drive. Yes you have selected a very nice car either the 4 Cly or v-6 will take you right Thur higher education just fine.

  5. The automotive writers i've read have been very positive about the Altima coupe. Its fuel economy figures are 23 city/31 highway, versus 26/36 for the Civic recommended by another poster. i cannot find mentions of widespead engine problems. Some reviewers do find the CVT transmission a little unusual.

  6. We just bought our daughter a Nissan Altima S but it has 4 doors. I'll bet the coupe drives the same. This car is great. It has 4 cylinders but drives like it has 6. Plenty of get up and go. It has a very comfortable ride. We have owned it for 5 months and so far so good. You'll love it!
