Alto sax for rent?!?

okay, does anybody know of a reliable company i can rent an alto sax from. i really want to rent one and see if i like it..

Unfortunatly, I don't think there are any websites that will RENT a sax to you... there are too many issues regarding care of the instrument, insurance of both shipping and maintenance, and issues regarding collections (if you fail to make a payment) across state lines, etc.

I know you don't want to hear this, but your best bet would be to check your local music stores that deal with schools... not the schools themselves (of course you could ask the band director who they go through).  The advantage to this is that you usually get a discounted price on maintenance, and many offer rent to own options- so if you find that you like it, you make payments until it is yours.  Also, they may allow you to upgrade for a discounted price if you go through the rent to own program.

Ask the local schools who supplies instrument for them, they will work something out with you.  Look local, so you can get a look at the condition before renting.
