Hello, I currently own a selmer La Vie alto saxophone. Also known as the AS240. It seems like a good horn to me, but then again I have no experience with any other horns really. Aside from my student model jupiter Jas-667. It seems like i'm running around in the dark with this horn. My director says it seems nice. I just want some more info on it. I mean, what if I get get a better value for the money? The thing isnt even of the main selmer website. Under selmer paris or usa. But the horn was made in taiwan, and it carrys the selmer logo. So I know that much. Plus the website I got it from WWBW stoped selling it. So yeah i'm kinda confused. If anyone has any info on this horn it would be greatly appretiated. All I can find on google is, "Hey were selling selmer la vie's and there on SALE yippie come buy it". It's like everyones selling it but dont even know what it is. Thanks for help.

  1. It's a perfectly okay horn...changing it for another is NOT going to improve your playing, LOL, you need to practice to do that!

Have some 'metal resonator' pads put on it instead of the standard ones if you are just busting to spend some coin...
