Alu konbike any one heard of this make, German?

It is manufactured by the Prophete bike company.

They make several models - four are considered childeren's bikes (20" and 24") - they make three 26" models that are ATB or MTB.

The word "Alu" refers to aluminum.  Konbike is the name of the model.  Prophete (Profayteh) is the name of the maker.

The company has been around since the early 1900s.  It started as a bike mechanic workshop.  After WWII, it became a bicycle wholesaler - and later opened several retail shops.  In the 80s, it started manufacturing the frames in Germany.

Their own website indicates that the Phrophete/Konbike brands are entry level bikes.  They make other bikes and brands too.

When I was in Germany I definately saw them but I remember only seeing kids bikes. I'll look around on a couple german sites for you and try to get some info.

Ok, so I wasn't able to find a website for them which means these frames are probably made in Tawian (which most bikes are these days) and just branded with a generic sort of brand. I was able to find adult size bicycles also, although I had only seen kids bikes, they do have full size bikes. The component level is something that someone would be able to find as an entry level bicycle in a bike shop. Bottom line is this is a entry level bicycle but a step above something someone would find at one of the one stop shopping centers such as Wal-Mart or Target.

...sweet, the Baconator comes through again. The website states that these are made in Rheda-Wiedenbrück but, if my experience in the bike industry proves to be correct, are most likey just assembled there. After looking over the website, I stand by my statement that they are an entry level bicycle company. Send me a message if you need anything translated from that website.
