Aluminum saucepan !!?

my saucepan has a few tarnish marks in the bottom and side of the pan is it still safe to use .I cook everyday in it .Is this normal for this to happen thx

  1. MIne get that way after a lot of baking and use of spray non-stick use. Scrubbing the saucepan with a pad like SOS is the only way I can get it clean.


  2. Aluminum stains, it is just a fact.  You will be fine using it.  If you really want the stains gone you can try using oven cleaner in it.  It may fade them some.  If you do this make sure that you wash it out really well afterwards.

  3. The stain itself is perfectly safe.

    Some scientists, however, are suggesting we move away from aluminum pans, especially those used for acidic foods, since some initial tests suggest a connection between aluminium and alzheimer's.

    It's certainly safe to use stained, but if you get a chance to get a new pan later, consider a non-aluminum one just in case they're right.
